Meditation is an overlooked asset at the workplace. The words in the above graphic are just a small fraction of what the benefit of meditation could bring to a corporation who is willing to invest the time. Did you know that Edison took the time to meditate in order to grasp the inspiration that he needed to create the inventions that changed the world? He used to hold a rock in his hand above a metal pail in order to ensure that his meditation did not turn into an accidental nap. He was channeling the mind of God to see what the people needed next. From those "power naps" came the concepts that enabled him to have 2,332 patents resulting in over 1,000 inventions! Imagine what your business ideas your employees can conceive from participating in these power naps for your business. The possibles are endless! When we take the time to meditate, it also causes a calmness that is worth its weight in gold. Turnover would be at a minimum, company loyalty increases, stress is decreased, health situations improve and many more benefits! Below are many top companies who use meditation in their businesses. Image what meditation could bring to you and your company with this simple tool that could change your life and the lives of your employees. Take a chance and try! You literally have nothing to lose. Over the Rainbow... There was a sadness that had come over the office that day. My manager, Nancy, lost her good friend Debbie to colon cancer. Several days later, Nancy asked me to sing for her service. I was not sure what I'd do, since Nancy told me Debbie was not the religious type. "Somewhere Over the Rainbow!" I said, half sure and half not sure at all. I know what I heard and I was sticking to it! "What?" Nancy said. "Over the Rainbow?? What's that?" "That is the song Debbie wants me to sing!!" I said with excitement. "Ok...." said Nancy, with a non committal shrug. Did I get that message right? I get messages ALL the time. One might argue with me where those messages are coming from. Holy Spirit? Dead People? My imagination? No bother. Wherever they come from, I have come to depend on their regularity as well as the accuracy. Later on that evening, it was date night with Dan. I was excited. My good friend, Inez, was playing our Summer Town Series with her band, Time Machine. They were incredible. (I was especially excited since I had just been hired to sing in a Cher Tribute band as a back up singer and took a keen interest in the moves of Time Machine's back up singers.) The concert was amazing, song after song, one better than the other. Then it was time for one of Inez's solos. She walked out on stage and the very first thing I noticed were her red heels. Then came the music....a familiar tune....one that I had heard since I was a little girl.... Somewhere Over the Rainbow!! As tears of affirmation ran down my face, I knew it meant only one thing. Debbie wanted me to sing Somewhere Over The Rainbow!! So, with all that confirmation in place, I created a service just for Debbie based on the fact that she wanted me to sing that song. I called it the Over the Rainbow Service. It included balloons in the color of the rainbow, poems and of course the beloved song. (It turns out that Debbie LOVED old movies, especially old movies with Judy Garland in it.) The day of the service came. It was a little breezy and sunny with some clouds. One of Debbie's co-workers, who was in charge of the balloons, accidentally let one of the balloons go...an orange one, that was quickly accompanied by a butterfly the same exact color as the balloon....hmmmm.... Soon after, the service began with the poems, then the readings, followed by the song, concluding with the release of the balloons. As I ended the song, I lifted my arm to signal the release and, as my eyes followed the balloons up to sky, what was shining down on us all? A RAINBOW! A real RAINBOW!! It was surreal. There was no rain! Nothing...but there was the rainbow...a beautiful sign of Debbie, loving us all. I quickly pulled out my phone to take a picture and we got even MORE confirmation of her presence. Take one look at the enhanced picture and you can easily see...Debbie, the rainbow, the balloons, what looks like and angel and yet another woman, unnamed. (I am guessing it is her mother) What a beautiful gift of confirmation that Debbie had indeed crossed over, safely into the loving arms of the angels, her mom and Jesus. What an amazing. event. One I will never forget. Light, love and truly yours, Alicia Hi everyone! My name is Alicia Bozza, born & bred in Jersey! I have been blessed with a wonderful husband and 7 kids that make me proud to be their mom. I have been singing all of my life, but realized that I could help others have memorable celebrations by adding the touch of my vocalization back in 1997. My good friend, Enza, asked me to sing at her sister's wedding and the rest was history. I did not have a very encouraging start in my singing career. In my sophomore year in high school, I did not even get cast in the Spring Musical, so I figured I could not sing and did not want to embarrass myself ever again. So, I didn't sing. While attending William Paterson University, I joined my church choir and soon after graduation, I started a family with Daniel. I decided to work from home in order to raise my kids, but I kept singing at church. It was 1997 that I began my career at Josephine's Wedding and kept singing ever since. My career has included the stage, as an understudy for a traveling acting troupe called Sandcastle Kids in the role of Miss Sylvia. It was a dream come true to sing on stage...such a joy, especially since I never had been on stage...on the altar, but never on stage. (I look forward to returning to the stage one day soon!) Soon after starting out at weddings, funerals were added, as well as a cantor during Masses in two different churches. Recently, Meditation has been on the forefront of my endeavors. Everyone needs to meditate. Sadly, many think they can’t. I am here to show them differently. As your guide I will lead you into meditation and show you different ways to improve your life through the practice of meditation. If there is any way I could help you, please reach out to me at [email protected]
I look forward to seeing you all soon! All the Best, Alicia |
